Sting 12U win Metros and qualify for Nationals!
With a clean sweep through the winners bracket, San Jose Sting 12U-Ibarra took 1st place at Metros in Sunnyvale this past weekend! The win secures them a berth to the 2010 12U Nationals being held in Bloomington, Indiana.

Sting 12U Takes 2nd place at Grapettes June Classic Tourney
June 5-6, 2010
Congrats to the Sting 12U team for making it to the championship round at the Grapettes June Classic, with an overall record of 6-1, and taking 2nd place overall out of 24 teams. Excellent job ladies, and good luck at Nor Cals!
Sting 12U Takes 2nd place in RR Gold Memorial Day Gold bracket
May 29-31, 2010
With over 40 12U teams participating in one of the largest tournaments in Nor Cal, San Jose Sting 12U took 2nd place overall this past weekend in the RR Gold annual Memorial Day tournament. The team won all of their official pool games on Saturday and Sunday to advance to the Gold Bracket Monday, made up of all the top teams in each pool. The team ended the weekend with an official record of 8-1. Keep up the hard work ladies!
Sting 12U Takes 3rd Place in 14U Fremont Tourney
May 15-16, 2010
San Jose Sting 12U showed well in the Fremont Shootout - Road to Orlando tourney. Competing in the 14U category, the Sting went 5-1 and took 3rd place overall out of 20 teams. Great job ladies!
Sting 12U Takes First Tournament of the Season

The first tournament of the 2010 Spring/Summer season was a successful one, ending in a first place finish for the 12U team. Congrats ladies on going 7-0 and starting the season off in winning fashion!

Welcome 12U - Head Coach Leo Ibarra
Leo has been coaching softball for many years and we are excited to have him as our San Jose Sting 12U Head Coach. He has been the Asst. Softball Coach since 2005 at San Benito High School. During this time, the San Benito High School softball Varsity squad had earned four consecutive CCS Championships. In addition to supporting a very winning high school program, Leo has had success with several "A" ball clubs as well, including: (Manager) 1st Place at Norcals with 14U Hollister Heat 2007, (Manager) 10U 1st place at the Triple Crown World Series in Utah 2007, (Assistant Coach) 1st place at Norcals with 16U Strikkers 2008 and (Manager) 10U 2nd place at the Triple Crown World Series in Utah.
